NZ Young FarmersIt's National Volunteer Week 2025 and we are putting a spotlight on Season 57 Grand Final Convenor, and Dunedin Young Farmers member Emma Wilson
Emma Wilson is a true powerhouse within NZ Young Farmers. From leading roles like Club Chair, Treasurer, and Grand Final Convenor, to working tirelessly behind the scenes, Emma embodies what it means to serve, support, and inspire. Her impact spans every level—reviving the regional newsletter, launching merch and fundraisers, and supporting Junior YF and AgriKids through school outreach and module development. She’s the go-to person for contest planning, having helped lead Districts, Regionals, and now the 2025 Grand Final.
Emma is equally known for her warmth and mentorship. She checks in with members daily, creates tools to support treasurers and event organizers, and builds up those around her with encouragement and care.
As a NatCom Delegate, she’s driven real change by listening to members and advocating for grassroots voices, always stepping up where needed. Her legacy is visible across the Otago Southland region and beyond.
"She is never one to say no even when her plate is already full, always willing to step up and lend a hand and help our members and the next leaders of our region". Jess Wilson, Otago Southland Regional Chair
Emma’s dedication, leadership, and kindness make her a cornerstone of our community. We’re proud to recognize her as our Volunteer of the Week. 💚
