Stay Connected, Keep Well
We've pulled together some ways to maintain a good life-work balance, and keep yourself feeling fit and well.
Catch up with mates
Connecting with your friends or family is a great way to get out of the house, spin a yarn and have a cuppa. Head along to your local Young Farmers meeting if you're not near your friends, they'll be happy to have you along!
Get a sweat on
Keeping active is a great way to feel good. Working up a sweat releases endorphins that make you feel alert and better able to cope with challenges. Make physical activity a habit, aim for at least 30 minutes of movement a day. It could be as simple as leaving the quad at home and walking to the shed.
Eat fresh
Eating well gives your body the energy and nutrients it needs to perform at its best. That’s why a nutritious diet and regular meals are essential for a physically demanding job like farming. Need some inspiration? Click here.
Take notice
We all get busy and our minds get cluttered. Each day, take a few moments to pause and think about what you really appreciate. It might be as simple as enjoying the view, or enjoying a cuppa!
