AgriKidsNZ is back for another exciting season, and we can't wait to see young minds in action! Designed for primary school students, AgriKidsNZ is all about having fun, learning new skills, and igniting a passion for agriculture.
If your child loves the outdoors, animals, and hands-on activities, this competition is the perfect opportunity to let their talents shine.

Taranaki Manawatu: Saturday 8th February 2025, Stratford
Waikato/BOP: Saturday 15th February 2025, Waerenga
East Coast: Saturday 8th March 2025, Masterton
Tasman: Saturday 22nd March 2025, Sheffield
Aorangi: Saturday 29th March 2025, Ashburton
Otago Southland: Saturday 5th April 2025, Winton

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Teams of three will tackle seven modules earning points out of 350. The top seven teams will then compete in the Race-Off, with the top three teams from the day securing a spot in the Grand Final.

WHAT WILL I BE TESTED ON?
Expect challenges related to the Contest sponsors, with a variety of tasks across different topics. There is a module topic library here which provides some ideas of what might be in modules. This is an educational resource rather than a guide to go by. Every team will also receive tips and tricks the week before your Regional Final.
WHO CAN ENTER?
The competition is open to primary school students between the ages of 8-13 (age as of 1 February 2025). A maximum of seven teams from each school and there is a maximum of 35 teams per event. If you enter placeholder teams, the contestant details are due two weeks prior to the event - Conditions of Entry
WHEN DO I NEED TO REGISTER BY?
Entries close at 11:59pm the Sunday prior to the event, if you miss this deadline get in touch with NZYF team here. If team registrations have sold out, you can join the waitlist and will be notified if a spot opens up - please note you’ll have 48 hours to enter a team. Each region has space for 35 teams, so make sure to register early!

2nd Place: $25 per contestant
3rd Place: $20 per contestant
