TIMELINE

Please see below for the contestant round allocation and start times. Aim to arrive slightly before your briefing time. 

ITEMS TO ACTION

Please go through the below documents and complete the Health and Safety Induction and Waiver of Liability before arriving to the contest. You won't be able to compete until you've done so.

MAP

Entry to the Ellesmere A&P Show will be free for all FMG Young Farmer of the Year Tasman District Contestants. Upon arrival at the show, please mention you are here for the FMG Young Farmer of the Year District Event at either the public of equestrian entrance. 

CLOTHING

Each contestant will receive a Bushbuck shirt and FMG hat to wear. You must wear these at all times while competing, however feel free to layer to stay warm. Please wear plain black shorts or trousers without any visible logos (it's fine to cover them up with black tape). 

Please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Every person on site must wear closed-toed shoes. 

GEAR LIST

Please bring plenty of water. 

PRIZES

The top 8 contestants will receive a cash prize from and will qualify to compete at the Regional Final. 

MEDIA

We'll be taking photos and videos throughout the day to use for marketing purposes. Please let the NZYF staff member on site know if you do not want to be in any photos or videos.
