Young Farmers calls on alumni and supporters to back the future of the organisation

NZ Young FarmersNew Zealand Young Farmers (NZYF) has launched a national donation campaign, calling on former members, alumni and rural champions to give back and help secure the future of the iconic organisation.
With the rising cost of delivering support to clubs and members across the country, NZYF is asking those who have benefited from the organisation to “give a little back”.
From running member events and training opportunities to providing health and safety support, everything NZYF does starts with a strong core. And like many community-led organisations, it’s under increasing financial pressure.
Outgoing NZYF Chief Executive Lynda Coppersmith says while the organisation is proudly supported by a group of incredible national partners, NZYF would welcome more help to ensure it can continue to support a thriving club network.
“Young Farmers plays a vital role in supporting the next generation of rural leaders and community builders,” she says. “Our clubs, events and development opportunities are only possible when we have a strong, well-resourced organisation behind them. That’s what we’re asking people to help protect.”
She says the organisation is calling on the thousands of alumni who have benefited from being part of Young Farmers to consider giving back and investing in its future.
“This is about securing the future of Young Farmers. We’ve got strong foundations and amazing partners, but more support is always welcome,” she says.
The campaign encourages donations of any size, $10, $50, $100, to help sustain NZYF’s operations and ensure it can continue to support the club network and deliver impact nationwide.
“Whether you were part of a club, competed in the contest, or just remember the mates you made, this is your chance to give back,” says Coppersmith. “Every dollar goes towards keeping this iconic organisation thriving for the next generation.”
