Hinds Young Farmers Club was honoured with the prestigious Club of the Year Award. Driven by a passion for creating a welcoming environment, the club was recognised for hosting a variety of events and actively involving its local community. Among the individual honourees, Amy Carroll of Inglewood Young Farmers received the Service to Young Farmers award, while James Fox of Thornbury Young Farmers was awarded the Leadership Award.

The Morrinsville-Ngarua Young Farmers Community Quiz and Auction won the Best Event award for raising over $30,000 for the Rural Support Trust.

The Taranaki Manawatu region was recognised with two awards: the Best FMG Young Farmer of the Year Regional Final award for their engaging event with dynamic challenges, including unique head-to-head competitions, and a showstopping speed shear for AgriSports. They also took home the Best Region award for fostering a welcoming atmosphere for new members while retaining existing ones. They promote diverse thinking by offering members new experiences, such as butchery nights, sheep milking tours on local farms, and leadership development days.

The Chief Executive of New Zealand Young Farmers Lynda Coppersmith celebrated the evening as a tribute to the hard work and dedication of NZYF members.

“The NZYF National Awards provide a special opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our members and their unwavering commitment to the organisation. We are very proud of the tireless efforts and dedication shown by our members, truly representing the spirit of Young Farmers.

“These awards not only recognise their exceptional accomplishments but also highlight the remarkable talent and innovation among our members. Congratulations to all our award winners and nominees; your selfless contributions do not go unnoticed.”
