Tom Slee is a 29-year-old Southland farmer competing in the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final, carrying a strong family legacy as the son of 1999 winner Richard Slee and nephew of 2004 champion Simon Hopcroft.
Raised on a sheep and beef farm near Tuatapere, Tom has since moved into dairy farming and is now a contract milker, focused on building a sustainable business and strong team.
A former Lincoln University student and BNZ graduate, Tom returned to farming after a short stint in the corporate world, also balancing his career with adventure racing at an elite level.
He brings a steady, consistent approach to competition and values the community and connections Young Farmers provides.
