NZ Young Farmers (NZYF) is thrilled to announce the launch of the Contiki Local Legend campaign, an exciting nationwide initiative dedicated to recognising and rewarding the extraordinary contributions of Young Farmers who go above and beyond for their communities.

This campaign, which runs throughout September, aims to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes within our rural communities. One outstanding volunteer will be selected as the ultimate Contiki Local Legend, winning a life-changing Contiki voucher valued at $5,000.

Proudly sponsored by NZYF Community Partner Contiki, this campaign highlights those individuals who tirelessly dedicate their time, energy, and resources to making a positive impact.

Whether through their involvement in their local Young Farmers Club or broader community efforts, these young leaders are driving change and fostering strong, vibrant rural communities across New Zealand.

Nominations for the Contiki Local Legend campaign are now open and will remain so until 30 September 2024. Anyone who knows a deserving Young Farmers Member is encouraged to submit a nomination, sharing the inspiring stories of these remarkable individuals.

"Our members are truly the backbone of rural communities across the country. Through this campaign, we have a unique opportunity to highlight their invaluable contributions and offer them a well-deserved reward that could be life-changing."

To nominate a Contiki Local Legend, members of the public are invited to submit their nominations online, providing details on why their chosen Young Farmers member deserves to be recognised.

The top 10 nominees will be carefully shortlisted based on their contributions and the difference they've made in their communities. From these finalists, Contiki will select the ultimate winner, who will be announced in October and awarded the prestigious $5,000 Contiki voucher.
