New Zealand Young Farmers is proud to announce that CRV, a leading provider of genetics and herd improvement services, has joined the NZYF Community, an initiative to ensure NZYF can continue connecting and supporting young people in the food and fibre sector.

As the agricultural landscape evolves, the need for innovative solutions and strong leadership has never been greater. NZYF plays a crucial role in developing the skills and networks of young individuals in agriculture, helping them prepare to tackle future challenges with confidence and expertise.

Lynda Coppersmith, Chief Executive of NZYF, expressed her excitement about the new partnership, “We are delighted to welcome CRV as a sponsor of Young Farmers. Their focus on innovation and sustainability aligns perfectly with our mission to nurture the next generation of leaders in the agricultural industry.”

CRV has a reputation for partnering with farmers to help them breed better cows faster through cutting-edge genetic solutions and support from a team of people who are some of the best in the business.

James Smallwood, Managing Director of CRV Oceania, says its partnership with NZYF is natural extension of its mission.

“We are thrilled to support New Zealand Young Farmers. This partnership is a natural fit, with both organisations dedicated to shaping the future of our primary sector and recognising the importance of keeping our rural communities connected,” says James.

CRV also supports the next generation of farmers in Holland through its Young CRV programme, which provides a platform for young people to get involved in the agriculture sector.

“By investing in young talent here and overseas, we are not only helping to develop the next generation of leaders but also supporting farmers to breed healthier, more efficient herds. We are looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and working alongside NZYF at a grassroots level.”

In addition to their sponsorship, CRV will support the NZYF club network with a ‘CRV Club Fund’, providing clubs across the country with funding for local events. These events can range from educational workshops to community quiz nights, all designed to engage and inspire young farmers.

The partnership further underscores NZYF’s long-standing commitment to fostering leadership and innovation within the agricultural sector. By investing in the next generation, CRV and NZYF are working together to drive meaningful progress in agricultural knowledge and community development.

“This collaboration is about creating lasting opportunities for young farmers to grow, learn, and lead,” added Coppersmith.

Young Farmers will also have unique opportunities to connect with CRV experts and learn about the latest developments in herd management and genetics. This interaction will be crucial for staying ahead in the industry and expanding their knowledge.
