Sarah Crofoot

SHEEP & BEEF

Sarah is passionate about the food and fibre sector and farms sheep and cattle with her family and a great team at Castlepoint Station on the Wairarapa Coast. She has worked in Wellington as a policy advisor for Federated Farmers and for Beef + Lamb New Zealand as the Extension Manager for the Eastern North Island and now as the Environment Integration Lead helping to build tools and resources to support farmers through these times of change.

She was fortunate to be involved in the Inaugural World Farmers Organisation (WFO) Gymnasium Programme, a two-and-a-half-year international capability development programme for young farming leaders and represented New Zealand at the 2015 Global Youth Ag Summit. Prior to covid she spent eighteen months travelling throughout Europe, the US and South America spending time on farms and learning about different farming systems and challenges facing the sector. 

She represents Oceania on the WFO Youth Committee, sits on the Wairarapa Federated Farmers Executive and is a Steward for the Castlepoint Racing Club
She is excited about connecting with like minded individuals and ensuring strong foundations and future pathways are available for future generations to ensure the ongoing success of the food and fibre industries.
