Lincoln Roper

AGRI-BUSINESS
Lincoln's journey in food and fibre began with helping on his family's horticultural and arable property from a young age. At 16, he entered the New Zealand Young Vegetable Grower of the Year competition where he was the youngest competitor in the competition's 10-year history and was awarded runner up. 
Striving to learn more about food and fibre, Lincoln completed a Bachelor of Agribusiness and Food Marketing at Lincoln University in 2020. While he was studying, he was also one of the university's Future Leader Scholars.

Whilst studying, Lincoln spent his summer holidays working on the Chatham Islands in sheep and beef production, Mid-Canterbury with cropping and livestock production, Western Australia with broad acre arable cropping and an aquaculture sustainability project with Kono NZ LP. Lincoln also received a Prime Minister's Scholarship to tour Indonesia, looking to understand the relationship between food and culture.

Lincoln is a Senior Advisor with KPMG PropagateTM, KPMG New Zealand’s specialist Agribusiness and Export Advisory service based in Auckland. He works with a large variety of clients across the food and fibre sector, helping them to manage risk and achieve their growth ambitions. 
Lincoln aims to aid in helping innovative and bright minds make their mark in the sector.
