News » Where all Young Farmers gather
Each year Young Farmers from around the country come together for the annual conference to socialise, compete against one another and talk shop on all things Young Farmers. This special time of year also coincides with the Grand Final of the ANZ Young Farmer Contest and the AgrikidsNZ and TeenAg competitions.
Historically there was no name for this momentous occasion…until now…
These action packed, fun filled few days will now be known as ‘The Ultimate Muster’ - where all Young Farmers gather.
This is a time to meet up with old friends, make some new ones, show off your skills and take in all the events of the Grand Final - you won’t want to be left out.
The Ultimate Muster will take place each July, alongside the ANZ Young Farmer Contest Grand Final and AgriKidsNZ and TeenAg Grand Finals where members will cheer on their favourite competitors. Other events include the AGMARDT business breakfast, the ANZ Grand Final Dinner and the televised evening show and celebration ball.
“We are very excited to formally announce The Ultimate Muster, it combines all the conference and competition activities from our core brands together under one name”, commented Sarah Paton, Sponsorship and Marketing Team Leader.
There will be the fun activities such as the bus trip and a Young Farmers activity night, plus members will be able to show off their skills at the national level of fencing, stock judging and photography competitions.
Young Farmers will have the opportunity to take part in the Annual General Meeting and hear from the CEO and board members and have an opportunity to voice their opinions.
The Chairman’s Awards Dinner will showcase the dedication and hard work of our clubs and members with honours given out for Best NZYF Region, Club membership, Best NZYF Club, Service to New Zealand Young Farmers, Best NZYF Event and Smallbore Postal Shooting. The dinner will also be the stage for the annual North Island vs. South Island Debate.
This year the events will be held in Christchurch 3rd – 5th July. Tickets will be on sale May 2014.
